His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le, AC Governor of South Australia has accepted an invitation to be patron of the Trojan’s Trek Foundation.
Trojans Trek is a unique peer support program designed to assist service and ex-service personnel who are adversely affected by their service. Through a five day bush experience at Moolooloo Station in the Flinders Ranges Trojan’s Trek is a circuit breaker for participants.
Trojan’s Trek’s first program was conducted in the late 1990’s in the North Flinders Ranges focussed on Vietnam veterans. The trek is designed to improve lifestyle and community involvement. Trekkers are encouraged to face activities and situations which may have been avoided in the past by trying new ways of behaving and reacting.
The appointment of His Excellency as Patron represents a significant milestone in the short history of Trojan’s Trek.
His Excellency will occupy the position for the duration of his term as Governor of South Australia.
