Commemorations from Victory in the Pacific Day 2020
August 15, 2020 marks 75 years since Japan’s unconditional surrender signalling the end of World War Two for Australia.
On the day a state service was held at the War Memorial on North Terrace and live streamed across the state. A recording of the service can be viewed here.
After the service His Excellency Hieu Van Le, Governor of South Australia and Premier of South Australia, Steven Marshall visited RSL Care SA’s War Veterans Home to meet with World War Two veterans who reside at the home.
