The Riverland veteran community will have direct access to essential support services at the 2023 Riverland Field Days, with five key organisations set to join Veterans SA at this year’s event.

Returning for a second year, Veterans SA has again partnered with service providers to connect approximately 950 former-serving personnel and their families living in the region with veteran’s services and support.

Veterans SA Director Chantelle Bohan said the event provided an important opportunity to reach veteran community members in the region directly.

“Our experience has found that many members of our veteran community aren’t aware of the breadth of support and services available to them, and the field days are a great way to hear directly and connect them with service providers relevant to their needs,” Ms Bohan said.

“The partnering organisations joining us this year can provide veterans and their families in the region with direct access to advocacy services, counselling and wellbeing support, family support, volunteering opportunities as well as veteran concession and discount information.”
