“The veteran community are vital contributors to the fabric of South Australia, and Veterans SA is committed to delivering lasting impacts for current, former and future serving members and their families,” said Mr Opie.

“Having served in the Royal Australian Navy herself, Bianca has first-hand experience on transitioning from defence life, which contributes an empathetic and informed view on how to deliver impact.”

“I am confident that Bianca’s lived experience, combined with her expertise in strategic planning, risk management and organisational growth, will deliver strong strategic outcomes for our veteran community,” he added.

Commenting on her new role, Bianca expressed her enthusiasm about connecting with stakeholders and working to support the local veteran community.

Bianca has a strong background in intelligence and security, having served as an Electronic Warfare Linguist and Intelligence & Security Manager in the Australian Signals Directorate for the Royal Australian Navy.

Beyond her Navy career, Bianca’s experience includes notable leadership roles with Austrade, the Northern Territory and South Australian governments, and most recently, the Australian Logistics Council.
