Veterans SA has teamed up with MESHA to deliver a program of workshops designed to arm veterans with the tools for success.
The MindRight and StoryRight workshops are designed to connect the veteran community as they navigate post-service life and provide the essential tools needed to steer through the transition process, as well as understanding how skills gained in the defence force can be applied to civilian roles.Whether you are changing your role or transitioning out of Defence service, MindRight and StoryRight will arm you with the knowledge you need to succeed both personally and professionally.
MindRight and StoryRight for Veterans
About the workshops:
MindRight
A veteran-led, one-day workshop focused on making choices and decisions around your future, including your own expectations of yourself, goals, identity in and out of uniform, the values and strengths you can harness from your career thus far and clarifying your sense of purpose in a new role or career direction, and how to care for yourself through any pitfalls.
StoryRight
A one-day workshop focused on how you can translate your skills and experience to enable better promotion possibilities and employment opportunities, within or outside of service. This program also includes information on how to use AI such as Chat GPT for writing bios. Participants will also hear from a mentor who has made this transition to find out more about their challenges and learnings.
Who should attend:
- Current serving ADF members who are considering transitioning
- Recently transitioned veterans
Upcoming workshops:
The MindRight and StoryRight programs are free to attend, however registration is essential. The programs are delivered in conjunction with one another, and participants attend both days with MindRight (the first day) focused on defining your story and StoryRight focused on skills for transitioning out of service and into civilian life.
The following workshops are currently scheduled. Capacity is limited to 12 people. Participants must commit to attend both days and register for each session separately.
