In 2024, Veterans SA has teamed up with MESHA to deliver a program of workshops designed to arm veterans and Defence partners with the tools for success.

The MindRight and StoryRight workshops are designed to connect the veteran community as they navigate post-service life and provide the essential tools needed to steer through the transition process, as well as understanding how skills gained in the defence force can be applied to civilian roles.

Veterans SA has engaged MESHA to adapt the MindRight and StoryRight workshops to suit the personal and professional needs of Defence and veteran partners. This is the first time that a partner-specific version of the programs will be offered to the community.

MindRight and StoryRight for Partners

About the workshops:

Partners of current or former serving ADF members are invited to join our MindRight and StoryRight workshops, in partnership with MESHA. This is the first time these tailored programs have been offered.

  • MindRight for Partners:
A workshop that will run over two short days focused on making choices that work for you. The program delves into your goals, values and strengths. MindRight will open the door to renewed purpose as you consider a new role, career direction or life stage. It also explores self-care and how to support yourself as you navigate challenges along the way.
  • StoryRight for Partners:
A workshop focused on how you can communicate your skills and experiences to explore new opportunities. The program will run over two short days and includes information on how to use AI platforms such as Chat GPT to inspire and enhance your writing when applying for jobs. Participants will develop a strong personal narrative by understanding their unique skill set and by learning effective communication methods.

For added peace-of-mind, on-site childcare will be provided during the MindRight and StoryRight Programs for Partners. A form to access this service will be sent to participants following confirmation of their registration.

Who should attend:

  • Partners of current and former serving ADF members

Upcoming workshops:

The MindRight and StoryRight programs are free to attend, however registration is essential. Participants in the StoryRight and MindRight Partners Program need to undertake both workshops.

The following workshops are currently scheduled. Capacity is limited to 12 participants per program.

Additional workshops may be held later in the year. Details to come.

The MindRight workshop scheduled for 5 and 12 August has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

The StoryRight for Partners workshop was held on 19 and 26 August 2024.
