The Australian Peacekeepers memorial is where all commemoration services (Dawn Service, Vietnam Veterans Day and Remembrance) are held.
Approximately 300 people attended the memorial opening, which was unveiled by Amanda Rishworth MP Federal member for Kingston and dedicated by Pastor Gary Hodgson.
At the conclusion of the events a barbeque was held with 84 people in attendance. The barbeque was cooked by students from the Willunga High School.
Establishment of a memorial dedicated to the men and women who have served and continue to serve on peacekeeping operations allows the community to honour these Australians who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice so much for our country.
